Bleeding GUMS
Bleeding gums is sign that your gums are not healthy. It is actually a response to bacterial biofilm (plaque) that, when left in contact with the gum tissues, causes the earliest form of gum disease (gingivitis). Because of improper brushing and flossing plaque gets accumulated near gums margin,as plaque contains bacteria it causes inflammation of gums. Plaque that is not removed may harden to tartar which is difficult to remove by brushing. If untreated gingivitis may progress to periodontitis which will result in loosening of teeth, receding gums, loss of jaw bone and a change in the way your teeth fit when you bite. So It is important not to ignore your bleeding gums.
